Hey friends!! This week marks the first week of the One Room Challenge! Last time I participated, I redid my niece and nephews bedroom. I am stoked for this round, and I’ll tell you why. When I married my hubby, I was insanely blessed to inherit some of the best in-laws that one could ask or hope for. Bob and Char Grove are some of the most genuine, loving, compassionate people to walk this green earth. I’m not over exaggerating one bit. So when I started planning for the One Room Challenge, I knew right away that I wanted to give their living room a makeover. Because they are so giving with everyone else, they rarely focus on themselves. I want to create a space for them that they are proud of and that wows their friends and family. They deserve nothing less!
You can see that this room has super high ceilings, which will allow for some great large furniture pieces and wall treatments. We are going to take everything out, get rid of the popcorn ceiling, paint the walls, and even add some molding and trim work.
This room will be a collaboration of old and new. A very french meets comfy modern space. Below are a few inspirational images of what I am thinking for the molding and trim work. And the dark colors are everything to me!
