If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that my family and I took a 2 week road trip down to California and up to Oregon. It was an absolute blast! I will share more about our route and schedule. But first, I wanted to highlight one of our favorite stays on this trip.
Headlands Lodge in Pacific City, Oregon is what dreams are made of. This lodge and spa is perfectly situated on the coast line with an amazing view of Haystack Rock. When you drive up, it literally looks like a coastal dream. The architectural details on the front of the building feels very traditional with a splash of coastal modern. And then you walk inside…
Now, when I first arrive at a hotel, I always judge the establishment by how the lobby looks, which I think is normal for everyone. When I walked into this lobby, I lost my breathe. It’s just perfect! It’s modern yet rustic with some pretty awesome Pacific Northwest moments. The Architectural design was done by Scott Edwards Architecture based in Portland and the Interiors were done by EDG. And the smell of the entire lodge was one of my fave details. I know, sounds funny, but I LOVED IT! It was a mix cedarwood mixed with fresh ocean air mixed with my husbands Le Labo cologne. MAGIC!
When you first check into your room, you quickly notice that no detail is missing. From a bluetooth lantern that you can take on the beach, to the Pendleton blankets on the beds for extra warmth, they have everything that you would ever want!
The view from our bedroom wasn’t the bad…;)
Another reason to go back to a hotel over and over again is their bathroom. This bathroom really did feel like a spa. And the design was magical!
The Lodge offers tons of adventure ideas. We hiked up a sand dune, went tide pooling and went on a walk down the beach while watching a whale that seamed to love that area. If we had had more time, I wanted to rent the cute bikes at the hotel and also take surf lessons.
Each floor of the hotel had these giant maps that make it really easy for you to plan your day. There are many trails, beaches and attractions around Pacific City!
We ate at Meridian one night, which is located in the hotel. The pictures of the food do not give this place justice. It was SO GOOD! We also ate breakfast their a few times. Executive chef Andrew Garrison and his team have done an amazing job at creating some of the freshest and beautifully plated food on the coast.
You should book your stay at Headlands today! You won’t regret it.
Beautiful job showing off that obviously modern, rustic and cozy hotel. I really admire your work and eye for design. I have been following you on Instagram and think I better follow you on Pinterest also ;). Do you happen to know what the fireplace stone is?
