You know how much I love to boast on my city, and today isn’t any different. I just got word that Boise is even cooler than I thought. Allstate has Boise ranked #6 overall in this year’s America’s Best Drivers Report. Bravo Boise!! Boise is built of amazing and caring people that consciously want to keep our roads safe from harm.
However, it truly is a shame how many car accidents there are in this country and even more of a shame that most of those accidents are caused by distractions such as phones. Which is why Allstate will be touring the US and Canada a fifth time for their annual Reality Rides® simulator tour. The Reality Rides simulator is traveling to demonstrate the importance of undistracted driving. The message of this tour is especially important as safety experts have estimated that more than 40,000 people have died in car crashes in the US just in the year 2016. Furthermore, a new study reports that more than half of all crashes are caused by phone-related distractions.
I am so thankful for those at Allstate taking the initiative to teach the importance of avoiding distractions on the road. I have two children and whether I like it or not, they will one day be behind a wheel. I always do my best to teach them, through my own actions, how to drive without distractions. My phone is attached to me at almost all times for work and family, however, when I am behind the wheel the only time I look at my phone is when I am fully parked.
I am thankful for my city and even more so for the safe drivers that live within it. Thank you Allstate for delivering such great news.
