Basement Bathroom Renovation

A moody basement bathroom renovation by Kirsten Grove

It’s been almost 6 months since I’ve blogged on Simply Grove. Oops! This is a new season where We Three Design has taken center stage in my life. BUT I have TONS of Grove Renovation content to show you!! So, I’m back to give you some major updates. Also, this renovation has been 15 months in the making, which is 10 more months than I expected. I guess in this world that’s become the normal amount of time. Crazy!

Let’s start by giving you a peek into the basement bathroom. Hopefully this before and after will impress your socks off. Below is the before.

It seems like this bathroom was unusable for quite awhile. I’m not sure what worked and what didn’t work, but by the time we started the demo process, it felt long overdue.

We worked with Ferguson to give this bathroom a massive new look! Ferguson has the best selection of home improvement products including a plethora of styles, unique finishes, and new technologies at competitive prices all in one place. Customers can find what they need to create their own personal style. Ferguson has dedicated showroom consultants available to help streamline ordering, delivery, quoting and client coordination for projects large and small.

For this bathroom, we used Signature Hardware from Build.com for the plumbing fixtures and sink. I’m normally drawn to brass, but for this specific room, I loved the look of brushed nickel paired with the moody color tones. I wanted a simple sink so I went with the Burleson Integral Bathroom Sink in White with Brushed Nickel Stand. I paired it with Atria Single Handle faucet.

For the shower head, I went with an exposed pipe in brushed nickel. So classic and functional.
