What do you dislike?

Hey peeps!  To start this week off, I have a random question for you!  What are some decor trends that you are ultra tired of seeing?  Something that in your opinion, is done and seen way to much.  Just curious.  Answer nicely please.  And I sure hope its nothing that I do!!  Haha.

I love that lamp. I hate to admit it but I am tiring of the Keep Calm and Carry On Print. I own one too so I’m even tired of myself. I am hoping that reframing my print will renew my love of it.

Haha! I came along to say the “Keep Calm and Carry On” print! I am so glad that Jessica already mentioned it above so that I won’t be crucified alone. I have a friend that really, really hates that print. I contemplated buying her a “KCACO” Christmas bauble just so she could smash it.

Typographic slogan prints in general, but most especially Keep Calm and its various iterations.

I think I’d like to see a little more color. There seems to be a trend of a lot of white, either that or those are the blogs that I’m attracted to. I like white, but I think I’d like to see some more color added to it.

Wall decals? I have not tried them myself but I might rather have real art instead a decal.

Decorative dishes/platters that are in no means meant to be used, but hung on the wall. And any dishes hung on the wall in the bedroom. That’s just silly. I doubt there is ever a thought process that goes “hmmmm, while laying here in bed, I could see the need to reach up and grab a useful plate off the wall.”

Haha Shannon! I’m personally tired of too matchy-that is in MY home…I dont like or dislike it-but I think it’s more traditional…and I’m not into traditional so I don’t know why I do it sometimes! Often the are items bought FOR me-so I feel bad taking back one pillow to switch it up lol. And I wish people would step out of the box in mixing colors more-black and brown can go, teal and chartruse, pink and orange…I like off colors mixed.

typography prints in general. i appreciate typography and it’s simplicity, but i don’t want my hope looking like a ad for some life i imagine living. the only typography poster that doesn’t make me wanna run is the “for like ever” poster. oh and abc’s are okay for kid spaces…

I have to agree with Jessica-I’m so sick of that print!
Also, I’m a little tired of seeing those triangle bunting banners over windows-just feels like I’ve seen it way too much!

Living out here in farm land, I’m so tired of log furniture. Everyone has a “rustic” house and they all look the same. I know they are a local hot item and, thankfully, not prevalent in the design community.

I’m not sure if this is a trend but I have always disliked fake plants and feel like I’ve been seeing too many of them. They are just not good Feng Shui and really they are not fooling anyone- plus they are dust collectors-

I have never liked the trend of taxidermy, even the fake wooden ones. really why do people want to look at dead animals?

I absolutely dislike an “all in one style”, meaning a uniform design, always the same colours and nothing that brings in tension. I love Ikea, but being in homes only furnished with Billy, Benno and so on (Ikea gives their furniture funny names) is making me tired and bored. But Billy combined with grannys old kitchen table and moms 1970′s chairs is cool.

Bella, I would go into Urban Outfitters and sk them if they can get anymore in from another store. I saw it when it was on Clearance so they might not be making them anymore, but I’m sure other locations might have one for you, and they can just ship it to your stores location.

Yeah Bella, check with an urban outfitter near you and have them search other store locations. There has to be one still available somewhere!
