On a non design related note…

…I lost my wedding ring.  I am quite bummed as I should be.  And yes, I have looked EVERYWHERE!  Seriously, everywhere.  I am super organized and I only leave it in a few places.  On my dresser in a dish and in my linen closet with the rest of my jewelry.  I just can’t believe that after 10 years I decide to lose it….really??  So we have a few conclusions.  One, I put it in the craziest place without thinking.  Two, my daughter “borrowed” it and forgot where she put it.  Third, it was stolen.  How?  I have no idea.  But maybe!  So, when you are going about your day and week, please say a little prayer for me and my ring.  We need to meet again, soon!

This is a super lovely home tour!

My heart just dropped into my stomach for you. I can’t even imagine how you’re feeling! I too have had my wedding ring for 10 years and have had a few scares over the years. But we’ve always found it….so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you :) !

My husband and I both lost our rings in our first year of marriage. It’s been ten years and we’ve never lost eachother.

My prayers are going out to you friend. I ‘ve lost mine twice and thankfully I just had to retrace my footsteps and both times it was located. Once it was lost in the street outside the Wilder Church and it was Pastor Bob that went there for me and stepped out of the car and there it was just sitting in the street next to where we parked the evening before.

Oh Kirst! I’m so sorry! This makes me so sad for you! Thankfully I’m too fat to get mine off lol. Well year 10-maybe a new ring instead of that trip? But God willing-you will find your first ring AND get the trip to France! Praying it shows up quickly!

Oh no, I thought you had found it by now!!! Can you file a claim with insurance so you can at least have an equally lovely bauble? My friend lost her wedding ring when she placed it in the pocket of a robe when she and her husband had a “spa day” together for their 10th anniversary. It ruined her special day – she and her husband had to go through piles and piles of used robes. Obviously it was immediately stolen. The good news is she bought an even more beautiful estate ring after filing with insurance.

Sorry for the long story – I’ll say another prayer that you find your special ring!

I have done this a couple times. Not a fun at all! Im sure you will find it soon and it will be in a place you have looked before. Doesnt that always happen? We always look somewhere and thats where we find it? Or we lose something when we dont need it and when we do we find it! So frustrating! Praying for you and your ring! xo

I lost my wedding ring on my honeymoon, so….

What a great way to start things off right!? It was the worst. I lost it snorkeling, even after I tugged on it before going in to make sure it was snug.

We went to a gift shop and bought a 20 dollar silver ring. Which I then lost six months later. I’m sort of a mess, I know, but it’s ok. My wife is my rock and we both know that, and that’s all that really matters.

You’re going to think I’m nuts and yes I’m a bit new age, but every time my sister or I lose something we ask our late mom (she’s surely reorganized the heavens by now!) to help us find it. She passed over 7 years ago :( You can’t imagine how many times things have turned up in plain site. Crazy right??? But it works for us!

I lost my engagement ring ( yes with a diamond) and the worst thing is that I NEVER ever took it of ( but shurly I did, at least once…) and the the other thing that still kills me is that I just cant remember WHERE ( we where away on a holiday)
The first thing I would do if I get a big amount of money someday – is to make me a new one – BUT even so, – afther that I have been having problems wering rings – BUT the marriage still holds ANYHOW…
I wish you luck in finding your ring!!

Have you retraced your steps over the weekend? Could you have left it at a party/friend’s house? I am thinking of you and saying a little prayer that it finds its way home!

I lost mine a few months ago. I found them in my sons craft bucket. It turns out the night before I took my rings off near it to put lotion on his legs and the next morning while tidying up, I swept both my wedding and engagement rings up with a bunch of art supplies into the bucket. Somehow I retraced my steps and found them. Phew.

I looked everywhere and even went to his school to ask him inhe accidentally took them to school (he was sneaking all sorts of things off to school) so it wasn’t too far fetched.

Good luck and they’ll probably shownup when you stop looking.

same thing happened to my grandma. the ring was so priceless she couldn’t find it at all at my aunts lake house. after countless searches around the house we couldn’t find it. a couple weeks later my uncle discovered a ring hangin’ in a very empty bag of chips while snacking. luckily that empty bag of chips wasn’t thrown away. your ring will turn around soon.

love your blog by the way! been following for awhile!!
