Happy Saturday! I never ever post on Saturdays but I find myself at Starbucks, by myself, while my daughter is at theater class. I am enjoying this hour of thinking, writing and now, blogging. Anyways, just wanted to tell you that I’m over here talking about horses. Wait, horses?? Yes, horses.

Though I can’t show you my house just yet, I had to show you this pretty flatweave rug from Restoration Hardware, designed by Ben Soleimani. The grey goes perfectly in my bedroom to break up the light floor and the light walls. Can’t wait for you to see the rest!!!
One would say that there is alot going on here. Yes, yes there is. (It’s obviously a styled shoot.) But what I love about it is that each piece could very well be a focal point when given the spotlight in a more minimalist space, but they all kind of work together as a team.
What I really want to know is where can I find that blanket?! I heart it.

My Eden Jo is one of those girls who could wear a paper bag as a dress and make it look awesome! I try and dress her as much as I can, which she still doesn’t mind, but she will still add her own Eden Jo flair to it. She loves girly prints, bows, sparkles and pink but still appreciates plaids and denim.
Both if my kids have awesome style, so welcome to their new fashion column, They Got Style.
These Roshan Candleholders and Pumbeeri Spinning Tops from Tahir Mahmood’s collection are both high on my “someone needs to put these in their home” list. I love the bold colors paired with the natural wood.

Well folks, another week has flown by! It seems that time has decided to move faster and faster the older we get. I just keep reminding myself to do what I love and do it with the people that I love. Life’s to short to waste any moment.
Next week I begin a new chapter in my career. I’m putting both feet in design and I’m pretty pumped. I can’t wait to start showing you some new projects that I’m working on.

The new DeMarco Occasional Table from KGB is timeless and beautiful! The DeMarco tables are hewn from a single block of Statuary marble then set atop a solid base of Nero Marquina. Pretty.
The Grand America Hotel, where Alt was located in SLC, has the cutest kids shop called JouJou. I got Ethan this Muscle Joe robot from Piperoid. We put it together last night. It already has a broken foot…:)

There are certain days where I find myself snuggled on my sofa with 2 to 4 blankets wrapped all around me. I love blankets and throws!! The Loaded Trunk has a great variety of beautiful blankets from around the world. Colorful and neutral, pick your favorite. I have my eye on that colorful stripe number.
Inspired and motivated is exactly how I feel after spending 4 days at Alt Summit. Being around so many talented people creates such momentum and excitement. From conversations about future collaborations to listening to some of this industries brightest talents. I have set a few pretty large goals upon myself this year, knowing that if I believe in myself, step out in faith and recognize that it’s a all about working with a community and NOT living on a boat for one, I can achieve those things.
On Thursday I spoke with Jenny, Emily and Morgan on The Ins and Outs of Interior Design Blogging. I seriously love these gals and walked away with alot of great points and ideas. I feel honored to have been included with them.
I also ADORED my roomies, Promise, Jasmine and Liz. These 3 might be taking over the world soon! I have made some incredible friends in this community that I am SO thankful for and grateful that they believe in me and vice versa. Oh and my travel partner/cousin and I had quite the journey home (missed flights, stuck in Denver, lost bags, ruined bags…you know, the usual) but being together made it a whole lot better!
