The question- Most needed area for organization in your home. (Example- My laundry room is in desperate need of attention. Really, it is!)

My bedroom is in desperate need!!! AHHHHHHHHHH <—-that's me shouting as I need help!
hum, my drawing room is in desperate state… I’ve been trying not to put things everywhere, as a consequence, the desk is no longer a desk but just a post nuclear mess… and, the computer emerges as a survivor;)
things fall out of our closets and hit me in the head! that book looks lovely. thank you for the giveaway.
Hmm… home office. My filing system leaves a huge amount to be desired. In fact I don’t think one can actually call it a ‘system’ if all that is involved is shoving papers in a box and forgetting about them…!
My living room! I work there and that corner is a mess! I guess this is the curse of home office
well if you have seen my bedroom closet and bedroom,, huge problem.. totally need help and advice on organizing my master closet that can never stay clean…
The book looks beautiful!
Our front closet is desperately in need of a makeover (can hardly close the door these days, uggg)! Maybe I should add that to the September to do list?!
What a wonderful prize!
I would have to say that our small walk-in attic space is in need of some organization. We have a tendency to just take things in there and drop them. Its become the place to stash things we don’t know where else to put them, but can’t get rid of. We do have a filing cabinet in there for files and supplies, and a few shelves, but beyond that, its a free-for-all.
My home office. It’s a crazy pile of mess!
Hands down, our spare room/office/soon-to-be-nursery is in need of the most organization. It’s the place where everything gets thrown until we find the right place for it… which is usually never, haha.
Thanks for the opportunity!
My dearest, darling husband’s home office. If is supposed to be the formal dining room. It’s in such bad shape that he has an ‘overflow’ table in the front room for the tax papers…I am honestly afraid that he’ll overtake the entire downstairs. And he has built two gorgeous bookcases (wormy maple and cherry) for the room…but not enough.

All my closets. I want wallpaper in them!
My sewing room. I have great ideas for it-but never seem to have to nerve to go to it! I currently have storage tubs filled of things that could nicely be set onto shelves if I’d ever make some! I so want to paint the room for a cheerful effect. Perhaps hang a curtain instead of a door etc. I’m also too afraid of the costs! So I continue to sit and sew in the family room. Hubby HATES it! lol
Well, I would have to say my closet!I have so many shoes and purses and Im always changing my purses that it seems to turn into a hot mess. My son also likes to “hide” behind my clothes hanging up and so usually those just fall of the hanger. I swear im always trying to rehang everything but it takes time! Im glad that my closet isnt the first thing people see when they come to my house or they would be like…um whats wrong with you! haha
What a wonderful giveaway! I have my fingers crossed!
I would have to say my craft room, but a craft room is suppose to be messy, right? lol
Thanks for the giveaway!
Oh! My closet is in desperate need of some organization AND a revamp. Also – my office closet needs help! I hate files!
I am ashamed to admit it, but my bedroom closet is an absolute nightmare. Clothes are everywhere, I don’t even have enough hangers, and the most embarassing part of all is that I don’t even have a hamper yet. Instead, all of our dirty clothes are in one of those city shopping carts. It’s awful! But I can say that the closet is the next space I’m renovating in my home. I hope to make it a beautiful dressing room, rather than the walk-in nightmare it is right now.
my teeny, tiny little office (really a converted closety nook thing) off the hall needs help…it’s dark, and cluttered, and sad…i for sure need to tackle it.
that book is right up my alley
My office, most definitely! I need a much better layout, and I can’t ever get rid of the piles that continue to stack up. Oh gosh… just thinking about it. Ugh. =)
My closets are in desperate need of an overhaul! In my bedroom closet is my studio stuff. It’s incredible, it’s like spelunking just trying to find my book making supplies
oooh… that’s a good question. I think I’d have to say my closet– hopefully that counts as a room! ANd my studio could always use some attention as well!
Yay!!! I loooove wallpaper!! My bedroom is in desperate need!
My studio definitely needs a makeover. If you can call it a studio, it’s actually the dining room section of our dining-living area. It gets very chaotic when I have paintings set out all over to dry.
Happy to have discovered your beautiful blog!!
Moving States twice in the last 7 months (directly after being married and merging his/her things) has definitely put “being organized” on the forefront of my mind. The problem? What to do with all the extra stuff? We live in an appartment with limited storage. Therefore, my area in COMPLETE need of organization goes to: GUEST BEDROOM and more specifically its CLOSET (which is deep but not a walk-in).
How can I make our only “extra space” be comfortable for guests, hold all of our extra storage {including pantry items, since we don’t have one!!!! and my husbands army stuff (???)} and still be comfortable for visitors?
I get the concept of storage, but what about things we need on a daily basis…plus, wanting our space to be inviting…hmm.
Your advice, expertise and sheer genuis is warmly welcomed SG!
The desk in my kitchen…. even though I try to tidy it up it seems to end up covered shortly after. I want a pretty, neat, tidy and inviting desk as it is right in our main living area!
Which room isn’t in desperate need would be an easier question to answer.
this is an easy one…all of it…I am not kidding…every inch!
My night stand is large and doubles as extra dresser storage but the top drawer is an absolute nightmare. It used to be a neatly organized place for my jewelry, belts, neck scarves, and baubles but has recently become a monster!! Crap everywhere and no plans to deal with it in site.
Thank goodness for pretty wallpaper books!
I think my bathroom could use some major help. I have way too many potions and lotions, makeup, hair products galore…not to mention a shower overflowing with shampoos and conditioners! The whole room is a total wreck (but my favorite room to be in!)
My hall closet is a disaster!!!! I need help organizing it.
My bedroom! moving from a pretty BIG room to almost half the size of a room has proven cramped!
I’m going to say my pantry!
I’m sure you can agree because come on…. everyone’s pantry needs organized! =D
I’d have to say…my living room! We have a family room (with a TV, etc.) but our living room is right now a catch-all for…well, junk, until we figure out how to best use it.
If I’m being truly honest…my entire house is in desperate need of an organizational makeover. But, if I had to choose one room, I would pick our bedroom {which, currently, is also my home office}. It’s such a hodge podge of “stuff” right now that it’s literally keeping me awake at night.
The book looks amazing, Thanks so much for chance at the giveway.
MY CLOSET!!!!! It is a nice walk in of medium size but for the life of me I cannot keep it organized!
HELP ME!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Best Regards
MIMILEE<><
Ohhhh I would love to enter…you know me, i love everything paper…YOu’re so kind for all those sweet words…Thanks
Our kitchen drawers scare me whenever I open them, they are filled with many useless things. Does anyone really need three different contraptions for squeezing oranges…especially when they never squeeze orange juice, really, who has the time and storebought is just as good
The book is stunning! Thanks for hosting such a fab giveaway!
I have a storage room of shame in the back of my apartment. It’s getting to the point where I can barely open the door because there’s so much stuff packed in. Do I need or use any of it? No!
Great giveaway! Crossing my fingers!
ohhh! i DO like this little giveaway!
does my blogroll count as an area of my home?
ok, i would say definitely my closet. specifically my accessories! shoes, bags, etc. things get lost. jewelry would also be a big one ~ i have pieces i forget about because i don’t have a good way to store them all!
Jeez…..where to begin….and I have to limit this to one area? Well….that would have to be my office. Because everything from our garage is in there right now while the contractor fixes the garage….long story. So it is even more of a disaster than usual!
hmm…… I suppose I’d say the laundry room as well. It plays one too many roles. Everything else is so orderly, but my storage in that room is lacking.
Oh my, hmm, I’d have to say my office/crafting area is in big need of organization. Size and space are big issues!
My clothes closet is awful. I have tried my best, but I think I need to redo my organizational strategies. It’s just so small – I don’t have enough closets!
What a fabulous looking book, Kirsten!
My closet is in need of better organization for sure! It’s tough to keep the piles on the foor from forming!
oh i want to win! i want to win!
my kitchen is in total disarray. i’ve stored paperwork, artwork, magazines and just about everything else in my kitchen, b/c there are SO many cabinets to fill with stuff!
i’ve even used my oven as a shoerack. is that wrong?
My closet is a disaster! I try to keep it clean and organized, but I am un-successful. This book looks like it may just do the trick! Such a fun contest!!
I need to rethink my family room. We have so many activities in it that the furniture needs to change a little. Need lots of containers and smart storage. The big problem is I have no wall space, mostly windows and doors. Ugh. But I’m not complaining, we live at the beach.
What a nice giveaway! My laundry/mud room needs organization the most (if I have to pick 1 room). All the excess from the rest of the house seems to get moved there, and of course, it’s always temporary – ha!

fun giveaway. My kitchen needs help!

Ohhhh… it’s my kitchen. It’s so small and badly laid out. No counter space. No cabinets. No storage. Luckily, when I moved back to the US, I admitted that I don’t really cook, so didn’t have to have all the latest gadgets. But still, not enough space, and things are outta control!!!
I am in need of a filing system for my piles of papers.
I tear things out from magazines and need a file to reference. I have some on discs and am in need of an organized system to reference. I am an artist and work from my home office so a system would really improve my work life.
My closet could benefit too. I need to follow a rule of one new thing in, one old thing out!
the basement. hands down. it could be such a great addition to the house but it looks like a garage/dumpster/storage-locker
My bedroom! It’s really true what they say about people leaving it to last because it’s the least “on show” of any room.
uh. have you seen the one about my closet? disaster. i pull things out and shut it. quickly.
This is fun! Ok, my teeny apt only has two closets, so my clothing is jammed in with my vacuum, spare linens, books etc! It’s so bad that I often end up wearing the same few pieces since I can’t even locate others…(not ok!)
Oh so lovely – thanks for the giveaway opportunity! My sewing room is in desperate need, its just well…yikes!
I don’t mean to brag – but I am pretty organized. OK, I’ll admit it my garage – which could hold two cars comfortably – is a complete mess!! We have tried to organize time, and time again, but things just won’t stay put. Between 5 kids, my husbands things, and my endless projects — our garage runneth over.
Your read my mind – the laundry room!
Thank you for letting me know about this fabulous contest! I’m so excited
My most needed area for organization in my home at the moment…EVERYTHING! Seriously! We are in the process of moving to another state and we will be reorganizing and redecorating every inch of our house. Right now our apartment has boxes full of wedding presents in just about every room that we never got to open because we have no room to put them anywhere lol!
Our Master Bedroom is in need of some serious TLC and organizing. The other rooms in our home carries a bit of character(which is where I spend most of MY time) and I have recently organized them to a "T". My husband spends the majority of time in our bedroom and he loves to read. He has books galore and they need some serious organization because now they are sitting in a very cluttered style on black utility shelves(gross) and his poor desk(there is paper everywhere…everywhere I say!:) & he needs a new office chair. Let's just say that I have to really get to this room, because he deserves a special place to read and be the awesome Designer he is(he's a Graphic Designer)!
Thanks for this contest…I am going to get started tomorrow…I promise:)!
My laundry room! There is stuff everywhere- from tools to towels to clean laundry to spray paint to cereal boxes- eek! Talking about it gives me the heebie jeebies. I love reading everyone’s answers! This was fun.
I have a large closet/cupboard at the end of my hall. It holds towels, sheets, scrapbooking and sewing supplies. I clean it out at least once a month and a few days later it is a disaster again. So, I am doing something wrong in the way of organizing. I would like to get it right!
..just like teal chic, it’s my bedroom…I started my blog this past January and I have been procrastinating, dreaming and talking about re-doing it since then…Check out my blog and see how desperate it really is…and I’m a decorator…UGH! I’m just going through a really blue period…and I don’t mean the color…
By far, it’s the basement! With a dirt floor, a collection of tools and materials from five-years of rehab, and all the equipment my husband stores down there to brew beer, that is the room that needs the most attention!
want that book!!!!
my drawers where i keep receipts, bank statements , bills , and tons of used envelopes that i keep for recycling!!!!!!!!
can somebody come here and tidy up for me ?????
that book looks beautiful!
Okay, my huge walk-in closet is horrendous. I don’t have near enough storage!
That junk drawer that always materializes in the kitchen. After only two months in my new home last year, there was already a drawer that looked liked we had lived there for years – full of chinese menus, loose change, pencils, pens, coupons, bits of string, hair ties, elastics and who knows what else. I hate it but have to admit that I go into it often looking for something. There must be a better way!
I’m with Cindy- “things fall out of my closets and hit me in the head”! That describes it perfectly
Oh gosh, I have two! My home office AND my laundry room! But I am probably in more need of organizing my office first! I’m excited… Hope I win:)
My laundry room also – I desperately need to get some shelving in there and get all the junk off the tops of the washer and dryer. And find a better way to manage the recycling.
And then there is my home office, which lately looks like a paper tornado went through it. I keep waiting for the cats to take care of the filing….
that would be my closets. All of them. I live in a small apt so there are only four…but they’re all an unorganized mess! the rest of my place is so clean and orderly but when you open the closets you almost fear that something might jump out at you. its that bad!
Ugh, my OFFICE!
Even when I do get around to organizing it, I end up doing a half-ass job. I can never seem to complete it and on top of that, it’s the room that everything that doesn’t have a home yet gets thrown in.
Totally drooling over that book. My office/study is in the most desparate need of organization. Books and magazines are double parked and practically falling out of shelves. I even have 2 huge 6′x6′ shelves that can’t hold everything, boxes stacked up on top of the shelves, boxes and stuff all over and spilling out. It needs serious attention but I find myself so pooped after work that I can’t seem to get myself started on the gargantuan task.
Karen
um…my walk-in closet!!! argh.
i’m planning on going to the antique stores to buy myself a couple of nice chiffarobes…hopefully of the victorian kind
my living room is in desperate need of some help! with 6 of us girls living in the house its hard to keep it clean and organized! maybe if it looked cute everyone would start to pitch in and clean up their stuff!
Most certainly my closet/bedroom. I have that “/” because the closet door is always open with things spilling out…therefore it automatically menas the bedroom gets roped into this area as well!
We live in a tiny 2 bedroom, 1 bath 1926 bungalow and I could use all the closet organizational tips I can get!
Great giveaway and I’ve loved reading all the comments.
my closet needs help, big time!!! i’d love to win the fun book
what a great little idea this was!
LOVE IT! I want to win! There are a few different spots I could put this to use, for sure!
Okay, it has to be the garage….hands down. I have been making progress though this summer. I am now able to park 1 car in there. Hopefully, the second car is not far behind.
Well I finally tackled the closets, so I’m going to go with our Bathroom – it’s in DIRE need of some organization!
My garage…anything that I don’t know what to do with gets sent to “the garage”. It is so bad that my car doesn’t fit in any more!! Help!!
My sewing room, or space rather
. I just started sewing and am not even sure how to organize it yet.
The book looks beautiful. I have a degree in graphic design so I get excited about eye candy to use as inspiration
. Thank you for the give away!
ok so my upstairs closet is down right scary!! if you know me [Mrs. OCD], you would not believe what i have crammed in there! 2 5×5 shag rugs, medicine and 1st aide supplies, all my linens, bath towels, potty stool, baskets..enough said it’s sad, im embarassed by it..and it keeps my humble! ha.ha! ps:: oh yeah i’m meeting with a psych therapist to find out why this closet has stayed in this shape for a year!
My clothes closet is an utter nightmare. I can barely look in there right now it’s gotten so bad, piled with clothes that need to go to goodwill and ones that i need to re-evaluate. Ugh!
I have a room that used to be a garage then it was a room for laundry but anything we do not where put it or maybe we should let go but we do not want ends there, that room is a shame!!!
my bedroom….
need help!

My kitchen is in desperate need of organizing! Currently putting EVERYTHING on my dining table…ughhh!
My kitchen desperately needs organization!
My little boys room is crazy! Toys, books, the computer, clothes- I mean stuff is just everywhere. I don’t even know if I want to call it his room anymore. It’s more like one big cluttered room. Need Help badly! Daisy~
Oh, definitely our bedroom. We are still hunting for the perfect bed!
Kylie
I can’t seem to keep my pantry organized, despite “gutting” it a few months ago. Actually, I could come up with a lot more spaces than that! Pick me! I am thinking about wallpapering my powder room…
My office. Because I don’t have one. Unless you count the desk in the hallway. Please help!
So hard to choose just one room but I would have to say my kitchen. No matter how many times I clear the benches they are a dumping ground for all my kids bits and pieces. Its only ever tidy for about five minutes at a time. Tracey x
