Here are more images of my old office. It is now a cozy sitting area. I LOVE being in this room.
It took 3 coats of crisp white paint to cover the old dark grayish brownish color. (My lovely husband is the paint champion!) He also created that quirky black piece of art with tape and yarn. The pillow fabric I purchased from a local quilting shop. I decoupaged the top of my side table with magazine pages. I covered the lampshade with a vintage looking fabric. The wood shelve was leftover wood from another project. And don’t forget my $45 settee!!! xx

Southern Living Magazine has gotten a face lift. I was able to preview the new look and it looks great! I wanted to try about every recipe that I saw. Its wonderful to see a mature magazine like Southern Living get a fresh new look.
This next shop is every fashionista’s dream. Neighboring Cassis, Fancy Pants (cute name huh?) is full of great fashion for both men and women. Fancy Pants opened November of 2006. I LOVE getting letters and packages in the mail. It is one of those things that is so personable. How easy is it to email someone but to send a package takes a bit of work. Now, personally I need to work on my post office skills. It feels like such a task to visit the post office. Especially with children. But what a treat for the receiver to open there treasure.
So hint hint, I like packages! Haha.
Viv from Ish and Chi just sent me the latest Real Living and Inside Out since I live thousands of miles away from these lovely magazines! It was fun to see my bathroom up close.

If you live in the Boise valley, you must take a visit to a lovely Farm House Sale Friday (tomorrow) and or Saturday from 9am to 7pm. Jodi Huff and her team have a lovely set up with some fabulous Antique and Vintage items. Seriously, I was overwhelmed with the amount of goodies that I wanted to take home with me. There is art, furniture, kitchen items, linens, fabric and soooo much more!

I LOVE white Christmas trees! Imagine it with all clear large ball ornaments. 
There is some serious kitchen eye candy in the house.

I bought these vintage fabrics. I want to put the star fabric in my son’s room. Cute huh?

My hubby and I recently redid our office. I was so done with the dark walls so hubby painted everything a crisp white and after 3 coats it looks great. Below is the settee I found for $45. Its my favorite piece right now.

This next stop on the Les Bois Tuesday train is the cute kids shop, Cassis. Located downtown Boise on Idaho St., Cassis began as a high decor shop and overtime developed into a child’s boutique carrying brands like Room Seven, Baby LuLu and Positively Organic. Shop owner Molly Henggeler is a mom of 2 so she knows exactly what moms and children need concerning fashion, books and toys. This shop is full of eye candy, amazing fashion, quaint details and whimsical toys. Mom’s, you will love everything about it.

Hello, this is Jeanette from the blog Fryd + Design making a visit while Kirsten is away. Kirsten asked me if I could make a post on my favorite fall decor, and of course. I´m so happy she asked!
For me the autumn is all about the light and colors, we have the most wonderful light here in Norway at this time of year. Let me show you,
I´m so exited and I hope you will like my pics for fall.
I like to see my house as a blank canvas, mostly painted in white. That way I can bring in colors through pictures, pillows, flowers etc that I can easily change. Right now I love yellow and orange together with pink, I like warm colors when it´s getting colder outside.
This time of year is also all about handiwork for me and at the time I´m all into crocheting. I love my small dolls and they keep popping up every were in the house. They are so easy to make if you know how to crochet, just use your imagination 
I wish you all a happy day and I hope the wonderful autumn sun will shine on you!

Hi, I’m Ellie! I write a design blog called Mint, and also run a stationery shop called Hello Tenfold specializing in wedding stationery. Kirsten asked me here today to guest post, and I am excited to share 7 of my favorite fall decor items.
The first thing I have to have when the weather turns cold is a good bud vase (or five). Once the leaves turn brown and start to fall, having filled bud vases is an inexpensive pick-me-up. I have my eyes on these two from mudpuppy.
I also like to bring in rich wood tones to make things really cozy. This teak & walnut Danish chair was recovered with burlap from a rice sack by Lets Rebuild , a company from my own town of Durham, NC.
Some good candles are a necessity, and these maple log tea light holders add to the cozy factor. They’re made by Robinson Greig on etsy.
You might remember these beautiful, hand crocheted, felted bowls from last winter. I never bought any for myself, but I’ve still got them on my mind… made by Papaver Vert.
I love switching out my spring & summer floral napkins for something like these handwoven checked ones. Made in Madison, WI by Jennifer Pellman of Plait.
Designers Tina Lutz and Marcia Patmos created these chunky, knit pillow covers for West Elm. A couple of these and a good throw will make it hard to get up on cold mornings!
The last of my favorite fall decor items is one I have in my own home. Each year, my stepmom buys me the latest Wolf Creek calendar. Each month has a new piece of artwork that’s always just right for the season. The October print is one of my favorites from ’09!
